Your Flight Path
From Australia & New Zealand
Fly from Brisbane (BNE) directly to Santo (SON) on selected days with Solomon Airlines, or connect through Port Vila (VLI) with carriers including Qantas, Virgin Australia, Solomon Airlines, Air Vanuatu, and Jetstar. From Port Vila, take a short 50-minute domestic flight to Santo with Air Vanuatu.
Note: Direct Brisbane-Santo service operates on selected days (e.g., Tuesday). Schedules vary seasonally. Always reconfirm domestic flight schedules as Air Vanuatu has experienced occasional disruptions.
From Fiji
Fly Fiji Airways from Nadi (NAN) to Port Vila (VLI), then connect to Santo (SON) on a domestic Air Vanuatu flight (approximately 50 minutes). Domestic flights between Port Vila and Santo operate daily or near-daily.
From Solomon Islands
Solomon Airlines operates direct flights from Honiara (HIR) to both Santo (SON) and Port Vila (VLI) on scheduled days. Check current schedules as routes may vary seasonally.
From Port Vila to Ratua
If you're arriving via Port Vila (VLI) from other countries, you have two options:
Domestic Flight: Take Air Vanuatu's 50-minute flight to Santo (SON). Approximate cost is 19,500 VUV per adult per trip.
Charter Direct to Ratua: Skip Santo airport entirely with a charter flight landing directly on Ratua Island. Unity Airlines and Air Taxi both offer this service from Port Vila.
Boat Transfer
Once you arrive, a private boat transfer carries you across the water to Ratua Island. Departures run from both Santo Airport and the Whaft, so wherever you land, the crossing is simple and scenic.
The transfer costs 5,000 VT per person, per trip — the same rate whether you depart from Santo Airport or the Whaft.
